Doug and all,
OK, I've had a nap since then and I also drove my Duetto to Canada for the
Convention so let's see if I can get my rememberer to work.
On the first ones I fixed, the shafts on the brackets had a groove worn so
deep that the clamps on the visors wouldn't tighten any more. I cut those
shafts off, drilled and tapped the bracket to accept a bolt the same size, cut
the head off the bolt to the proper length, locktighted it and screwed it in.
Then put the visors back on and tightened the clamps.
I cheated on the last ones. I found some good used brackets and used them
;-)
Hope this helps,

Subject: [alfa] Skip, What's that Visor Fix?

Hello, all.
I am wondering if Skip Patnode could tell me (or, us) again how to fix a
floppy visor on a Spider. I remember reading his method years ago, but I
don't remember where to go to search the digest. I seem to remember the
process involved drilling a small hole and inserting a fine wire . . .
Skip, and all, I hope you're doing well.
Thanks in advance.
