Having taken off the pump on a few cars (74 Spider, 74 GTV and a 75 Spider) I
would suggest that you may need to have the box end of a 13mm wrench ground to
be thinner than it is made in order to remove one of the pump to block holding
nuts. I also had to have the same wrench bent a little to work right to
access the same nut. So if you know someone with a grinder and a torch to heat
and bend the wrench that would be helpful. Be careful of the pump to injector
fuel pipes. They are somewhat brittle and not made to be bent. Also a little
penetrating oil on the pipe-end fittings may help with the removal. Take your
time and you should be fine. Good luck and have fun.

Subject: [alfa] SPICA removal

I'm geting ready to remove my SPICA pump and replace it with an Ingram
rebuild. I have his book, and it looks like a fairly straight forward
procedure, but was wondering if anyone had extra hints or tips. I also had Wes
rebuild/clean the injectors. I'd ask Skip P., but he would probably say that I
should have had Webers.
