Hi, Well you probably already checked this but the courtesy light system on this car has a timer-relay located by the fuse box up under the front panel dash bolted right to the dash.
The peculiar thing about this relay I found is that current will flow even if the courtesy lights are turned off or burnt-out, more particularly the little light inside the ignition switch. So hypothetically, if the little light in the ignition switch is burnt, and the B pillar lights are turned off, current will flow through this timer switch, regardless. In this particular case, if the relay is bad, current will flow even if the car is off! This relay, if bad, as you would expect will get super hot to the touch. So much so I contemplated it could start a fire by completely melting, especially being bolted directly to the dash. Its always a good idea that when the car is parked for a prolonged period of time to: DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!
