I am installing a rebuilt thermostatic actuator in my 75 Spider. Having never used a rebuilt unit before, I have a question. This unit measures .964 inch of protrusion. However, the depth in the pump to the adjusting screw is only .70 inch. Can the actuator be shimmed this much? If so, what should be used for shim stock, or can such a shim be bought?
This list is invaluable - many thanks! Ben -- to be removed from alfa, see http://www.digest.net/bin/digest-subs.cgi or email "unsubscribe alfa" to [email protected]
