I trust everyone recognizes the ancient email scam of friends robbed and
desperate in some foreign land. Thought they mostly used Nigeria, a
little surprising to see Manila where I spent many years and once
smashed a Nikon F2 over a would-be mugger's head. But seeing our good
friend and my fellow Okie Russ Neely posting too---the old AD is taking
on even more surrealistic aspects.
In more pertinent surrealism, I got (I think it was) two bad water pumps
from IAP years ago. Both leaked oil from the tach drive due to porous
castings. Had the holes been in another place, they'd have sprayed
coolant. Might be another bad batch got through, but a good light and
inspection mirror should show the leak.
