Having lent out the manual and not gotten it back, I'm throwing this out
wherever I can think to: the clutch pedal on our insufficiently-used
164S has been sinking steadily and is now on the floor, or next to it.
The repeated pumping that used to bring it up is no longer sufficient.
Yes, it should have been attended to long ago, but the dogged
reliability of Mr. Subaru let us put that on the back burner ... but now
that car needs to go spend time in a body shop, and I'd much rather
drive the Alfa than a rental.

I've been told that yes, there really is just one reservoir for both
brake and clutch, and that reservoir is full. The PO (in lieu of
returning the manual or coming over to help) has tried to explain where
the bleeding is supposed to happen, but I can't see anything like what I
think he's telling me on the phone. Assuming that low-pedal problems are
not totally unknown on these cars - since I've never had it on any other
unless the clutch M/C was dead - it seems likely that someone on this
forum might be able to fill me in. If so, please do.

Thanks!

Will Owen
