If you had a Pertronix Ignitor running in your GTV and had a 1.5 Ohm Coil
and a 1.5 Ohm ballast resistor and you were replacing the coil, would you:

1) Replace the coil with the same style
2) Replace the coil with the same style and replace the ballast resistor
3) Replace the coil with a 3 Ohm coil and ditch the ballast resistor

and why?

Ignitor is the magnetic pickup type, so no points. Understanding that the
main reason for the ballast resistor was not to have full voltage on the
points
when running.
