Can anyone give me a tip or some advice - I just can't seem to stop that irritating drip of oil
that comes from my plug, and my mechanic says he's doing the best he can!
Are you certain the oil is truly coming from the plug? It could also be running back from the front
crankshaft seal or forward from the rear. Or even from elsewhere.
If you're certain it's the plug, at your next oil change, after draining the oil, try smoothing the
mating surface on the oil pan with some 400 grit or finer emery cloth. Do the same to the flat
surface of the plug.
