Hi Rob et al, how do you know it is a 'short'? If the pump cuts out
that does not indicate a short. It may be an 'open' (opposite of short).
If it is a real short short (momentary) than it may not blow the fuse.
(shorts blow fuses - opens do not).
The mounts on the fuel pump can be pretty dire. Check they are OK (full
disclosure; I sell replacement mounts).
If you can be more specific as to the result (effect) we can try and
determine the cause.

Subject: [alfa] GTV6 fuel pump short
Alfisti....this short happens when I hit a bump or put the car hard into gear. I have had
it "fixed" twice by good mechanics only to have the priblem happen again almost
immediately. Any udeas for real root cause greatly appreciated.
