Goodmorning,

Not sure what 'Pot' means but what I found is that the little electrical relay 
box located at the bottom of the steering tube/shaft goes bad. This is the box 
that makes the 'Click, click' noise thats so particular to the GTV's.

When you take this a part, there is a tiny PCB in there with very old 
electrical innards. From the constant use and by the heat generated, the copper 
conduits/pad lift off the board. So go through and wiggle and resolder 
connections. Also clean any unwanted oxidation with sand paper. This will fix 
the problem and you will have a faithful, consistant turn signal indicator 
light flash. 

If this isn't reverse engineering, I don't know what is... Lol :). Good day and
