The wires on the positive battery post can be problematic. On my Verde,
after a 3 year rest, the red accessory wire on the terminal post of the
positive side of the battery went bad. After 28 years the crimp went
bad. Symptoms - car would not start all the time. If it started and
ran, it would die out in the middle of the street. Jiggle the wires and
it would fire back up for a little while. How to find this problem -
disconnect the wires from the terminal and twist the ends. If you are
lucky, one will come off in your hand.
Grounds are next but more difficult as there are many ground wires under
the hood and under the dash near the hood release.
