Apologies in Advance--for asking the same question twice. My 1978
Spica-injected spider has stopped running. I think it's just the fuel pump has
died as the usual noise of the pump is no longer there. I asked a while back
about how to proceed and got many kind responses but my daily driver,
coincidentally, was suffering from an alternator failure and I had to focus on
that rather than the Alfa. But, I don't want to let the Alfa sit. If anyone
has the patience, can you again suggest where to begin diagnosing the problem?
Symptoms are low fuel-pressure warning light and lack of fuel pump sound. Last
time I tried, the car would however start and even drive (I drove it from the
driveway into the garage).B
Somebody said something about checking fuses and the inertia switch, etc., but
it was all overwhelming at a time when I couldn't proceed. So, now I'm ready
to start thinking about this again. Where to begin? In simple steps would be
great. Thanks!
Colin
