Colin,
On my 76 spider there is a connection that is not on the schematic
between the fuse box and the fuel pump. It's below the steering wheel
just under the dash. There's a little plastic cover with a screw holding
it on hiding 2 quick disconnect tabs, one of the connectors had slipped
off. (apparently there was something there in a previous revision and
this was the quickest way to bypass the connection). I squeezed them
both lightly with a pliers, popped them back on and everything worked
(after a tow home). <grin>
It's worth a look.
