Gentle Alfisti,
I forgot to mention: the underside of the feeler gauge is graduated, for what
purpose?
Thank you Digest.

Cats:

I got a replacement bumper over rider for a 74 GTV. The littlerubber vertical
piece that covers the stainless "knuckles" onthe bumper. How do you install
them? They have two rubbershafts with shoulders that will snug into the hole on
the bumperbut how do they go on? I tapped on them with a rubber malletand then
I whaled on them, but they don't install.

Thanks,StefanoConcord, CA

Stefano,

You might try pulling through the shafts from the inside of the
over-riders.This might require dismounting your bumpers and the application of
some soapsolution or other lubricant to ease the shoulders through the hole.
That'sthe way it worked on my '69 Spider. My trimmer uses aerosol brake
cleanerfor applications like this because it does the trick and it's
volatile,leaving little or no residue.

Best,Bob A.

Hi all,Well, the new fuel pump has arrived. Tomorrow we will attempt
thereplacement.B Questions:Assuming it's sensible to replace all the flexible
fuel lines at the sametime, what size fuel line do I need and how many feet of
it?From what I've been able to find, the fuel pressure averages about 17psi, so
a30-50psi rated line should be OK? It looks like some of it is 8mm
(5/16-inch)inside diameter and some is 12.7mm (1/2-inch) inside diameter? How
much do Ineed of each?Thanks!ColinB

Gentle Alfisti,Anyone familiar with how to use the Alfa factory valve lash
gauge? It appears to require calibration. You set it against a cam follower, so
the reading occurs at half the follower's diameter. The very tip of the feeler
mikes at .3mm. The rear-most sliding scale has a vernier and is adjustable.
Some advice would be appreciated. modelle105.04 g.d., 115.02 spica mechanical
