Skip, please expand on "machined the head". For now I'll assume it was machined by a highly qualified machine shop. If not... Also That you've checked that it hasn't been machined 'a lot' over 4.410". I'll leave it up to others to define 'a lot'.
Also, when you put a known straight edge across the slightly protruding sleeves, they all line up perfectly? And that you use a new Victor Reinz head gasket. If this has been accomplished I'll do my best to quote Tom Sahines. He strongly suggests that once the engine is rebuilt you do not add water in the radiator/engine and run it (do include oil) for two minutes so that the adhesive on the gasket melts and forms a bond. He also has a good explanation that when you do add coolant, you initially use tap (not distilled)) water.
