Alright. Indeed, the overhead would be minimal, but then again, every
little bit counts. :)
10,000 func calls took less than .5 secs on my machine, barely enough
time to open a beverage.. :-)
FWIW, I personally find the case statements a lot
easier to read. If I get some free time again to jump in and help (I'm
getting jealous watching you guys) I'll most likely use case wherever I
need a string comparison.
Come on in, the waters fine. I can only test x86/x86-64 but I believe
you have access to other architectures.
