very odd, it is not interpreting the ANSI escape codes.
This is surely a dead point now, but you need the -R parameter for
less to attempt to interpret escape sequences. man-db (and man) use
less -isR the way LFS has them set up. I just realized this myself.
ohh.. you are good. Your comment forced me to look at my setup
(non-LFS).. In my env I have defined, LESS=-R, so that is why it worked
for me and not Manuel. Live and learn.
