Hi Manuel,

I have returned from the wilderness of Northern Ontario, refreshed and
ready to tackle any outstanding problems or change requests. (don't see
anything in the queue)

Welcome :-)

Actually there is a few things, just waiting you return back to discuss it:

.- Looks like now the LFS bootscripts don't install /etc/sysconfdir/console (not sure about CLFS and HLFS bootscripts). We need to change the code to install a default configuration file. That could need also some "nodump" in the XML.
I will look at this problem in a few hours and get back to you..

.- I would to change the book's sources checkout to can download any branch or tagged version. That will avoid the need to change a lot of code each time that a new branch/tag is supported or unsupported, but implies that we must to add a TXT file (and/or an HTML file in the web site) listing supported versions by current trunk or jhalfs packages.
I assume you want this change so we can handle the proliferation of CLFS branches. CLFS, CLFS-2 and the future CLFS embedded. This may take a while.

.- To merge the alpha BLFS code to trunk. We will need a basic ./blfs script, a README.BLFS and big warnings about their condition of alpha code before do that. INHO, having that code into jhalfs-1.0 will bring us more feedback than keeping it hidden in the experimental branch.
I agree but this could delay a 1.0 release. I have not looked at the BLFS experiment code in a while and and am not sure what state it is in. Now that you mentioned it - README.BLFS - Could be use a README.xxx for the different books rather than just a single readme doc. It could grow as people bring up 'confusion' issues.

.- The issue you found about progress-bar.sh when doing CLFS-boot builds. Yes, same hack is required to keep the screen live until have all the required tools available.
I will poke at some code this evening, should be toooooo hard.

.- To confirm and fix the issue noticed by Chris two hours ago.
There is no xls code to handle the kernel(s) keymap.. (see hlfs.xsl). I never exercised the keymap inclusion since I finished with hlfs so this problem slipped through the cracks

.- To update the PACO patch. Tor Olav send to me the new version few hours ago. I will start to review it now, trying to commit it this night.
