Maybe we should a definition BOOT_KEYMAP. We already have a BOOT_CONFIG exception for CLFS. How that would integrate with the boot kernel is up in the air. The CLFS team reuses a lot of code and I believe the kernel build is reused without change..

CC to clfs-dev due that this is a bug in the CLFS SVN book

In the build of the kernel they say
loadkeys -m
   /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/<replaceable>[path to keymap]</replaceable> >
     drivers/char/defkeymap.c

and it should be /lib/kbd/keymaps .......

so the issue is in the book. Sorry for bothering you Manuel..

Ah, thanks.

Then yes, that should be fixed in the CLFS book, at least in the "Bootable" chapter. But in the "Boot" chapter there is no easy way to know where the keymap files are installed on the host, due that current LFS-SVN install they also in /lib/kbd. And I don't know where other distros install them.

Maybe that command could be removed from the "Boot" chapter, not sure :-?
