Ah, ok, are you compiling from the source packages (the .tar.gz files)? Then you should follow the instructions in the readme file at http://www.ps.uni-sb.de/alice/download/sources/readme > When I ran "make" for alice-gecode-1.4, I got this error message: The readme mentions that you should run "make compiledll MUST_GENERATE=no" etc. instead of just make. Using the source packages, you only need to build the C++ parts of Alice, all the rest comes precompiled in the alice-runtime package. > NOTE: I also tried alice-gecode-1.3 and got a different error That's because alice-gecode-1.3 does not work with gecode-1.3.1 (I don't know off the top of my hat what version might work for 1.3).
