I'm sorry to say that there hasn't been much work on Alice lately, as all project members have been busy on other projects for quite a while. There currently is no plan for a 1.5 release. This does not necessarily mean that there won't be one, but Alice has been reniced to rather low priority. In any way, we do not have the resources to implement an incremental GC, unfortunately. So unless some enthusiast steps in and takes over, it is unlikely that you will see it. Regarding documentation: we usually change it with releases only. We put the issues you mentioned in the Bugzilla, and they will certainly be fixed with a new release.
