You could probably extract the audio from the video file with a program. I was
using something to do this on my old computer, at least with avi. Mkv and DVD
content. Unfortunately I cannot currently remember the name of the program.
You could also download VLC player to play the .mov file. The .mov is a
container format developed by apple, I believe. Whether something can play it
depends not on the type of container but on the type of encoding used. VLC is
the best at handling all different types of encoding, in my experience. Looking
it up now, it appears that .mov files often use the mp4 encoding for
compression, which, again, is common for Apple stuff (AAC format, etc). Winamp
should play this out-of-the-box, but if there is some DRM (digital rites
protection) on the file, I suppose that might be stopping it from working. I
believe there might be a plugin for winamp that works around this. You'll have
to search for it. Just remember that winamp isn't developed anymore so it's
anyone's guess what has happened to its plug-ins. Still, I downloaded one for a
different file format not that long ago and it worked fine.

Oh...okay; that tells me a little more than I knew before! So there is no way
to convert this to an MP3 file then?

Mov is some kinda video thing. Odd WinAmp won't play it. But yeah it's a video
format.
