Hm. There's got to be a more specific setting than that should help though. You 
might still want Winamp to access the net occasionally (it can still play some 
audio streams etc) and it sounds like some ad is popping up from somewhere. I 
have never seen this and don't know what might be enabled.

Hello Tom,

when you have closed the browser, and winamp is displayed, press control-p for 
preferences, go to general at the top of the tree view, then disable network 
access.

That should, should, fix it.
