I don't know that I can provide anymore information; the best I knew to do (which I've done) provided the link to that website; I don't want to turn anything off that would hamper my ability to get at something that I might need to get at! However, I really would like to make this thing with Google popping up this website to "go away" as it's a pain in my butt! Tom Kaufman

Yeah it probably would. That's why we need the more specific solution. As I said before it's not normal that winamp brings up a webpage, so there must be a thing to turn off, it's just a question of what it is. Maybe search around in the preferences area and see what you can find. I've been busy today so haven't really had a chance to look into it, but there must be something there. -----Original Message----- From: all-audio@groups.io <all-audio@groups.io> On Behalf Of Tom Kaufman via groups.io Sent: November 22, 2024 3:53 PM To: all-audio@groups.io Subject: Re: [all-audio] A Problem When I Open Winamp Okay...but would it mess up anything that I may need, for instance, would it prevent from playing certain audio streams? Ok. SO at least we know this thing is actually coming from winamp, sort of. Yeah must bea setting to disable. Don't know what it is, but yes disabling network access would certainly stop it. What winamp version? -----Original Message----- From: all-audio@groups.io <all-audio@groups.io> On Behalf Of Tom Kaufman via groups.io Sent: November 22, 2024 11:27 AM To: all-audio@groups.io Subject: Re: [all-audio] A Problem When I Open Winamp Okay...here's the link to what Google Chrome is opening: https://nftlib.winamp.com/ Tom Kaufman -----Original Message----- From: all-audio@groups.io <all-audio@groups.io> On Behalf Of JM Casey Sent: Friday, November 22, 2024 11:15 AM To: all-audio@groups.io Subject: Re: [all-audio] A Problem When I Open Winamp Hm. There's got to be a more specific setting than that should help though. You might still want Winamp to access the net occasionally (it can still play some audio streams etc) and it sounds like some ad is popping up from somewhere. I have never seen this and don't know what might be enabled. -----Original Message----- From: all-audio@groups.io <all-audio@groups.io> On Behalf Of Joe Paton Sent: November 22, 2024 10:53 AM To: all-audio@groups.io Subject: Re: [all-audio] A Problem When I Open Winamp Hello Tom, when you have closed the browser, and winamp is displayed, press control-p for preferences, go to general at the top of the tree view, then disable network access. That should, should, fix it. HTH. Joe.P -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
