------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 28 15:50:17 -0700 2005 ------- I received the following response: Hi, please try it again using the OOo2.0 Final version from the official OOo website. Thanks Frank ================================================================= I tried this, and there is good news and bad: 1. The segment fault has not happended again with the "official" release, but I should do more testing. 2. In the process of testing I found that this version of OpenOffice will not load files (at least not .xls files) from an NFS-mounted filesystem. It dies immediately with an error box saying "General I/O error." Should this be opened as a new error report? This will affect a lot of people, I think. I cannot test the FC4 release since I had to wipe it out... Finally, I found that none of my old FC4 release icons worked, the new programs were pretty well hidden down the /opt path. Is this really necessary? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
