pl->cd: ssa and I had a look at this and came to the conclusion that we cannot
do this since it would be a regression (namely issue 34277, which desprite its
description is not limited to calc). Besides this would be really only a bad
hack guranteed to be broken again soon; i think if you have code that breaks on
a spurious event, then that code is better fixed instead of workarounded.
