Not sure i understand this issue 100% :(
Are the messages truncated in the product? or in the SO string database (ling
tool)?
Sounds like a very unusual issue.
Is your browsers encoding set to UTF-8? Sometimes this can cause certain strings
to appear as blank spaces if your browser is not set to UTF-8.
Are all these strings from a certain component (module) &/or date?
