------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 26 19:54:25 -0800 2006 ------- I think it's not a defect. I do the following test: 1.create a new text document(or open an arbitrary text document). Then press Ctrl+shift+S, nothing happened. 2.create a new text document(or open an arbitrary text document). Then open a dialog to edit the contents of the field, eg. click toolbar edit-AutoText, when the AutoText dialog appears, press Ctrl+shift+S, the Special Characters dialog will appears. So I can use the shortcut to "insert special character" function in this case. I think the problem is that the shortcut Ctrl+shift+S only applies to a dialog. I find the definitions here: -I click toolbar help - OpenOffice.org Help -select index-inserting special characters. It says: "In any text input field… you can press Shift+Ctrl+S to call the Special Characters dialog". -select index-inserting input Field. It says: "An input field is a variable that you can click in a document to open a dialog where you can edit the variable". --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
