I don't have WordPerfect on my computer at work, and I suspect that many others are in the same category. We still receive .wpd files from colleagues at other institutions, though, and it would be nice upon installation to let these people know that they do have the option to open these files with OOo. I have used it several times, and while things like headers and footers are handled poorly upon conversion, at least I can now open the documents rather than emailing the author back and saying "could you please convert this to MICROSOFT and resend?"
