I have discovered why Writer is not able to hyphenate four letter words. Writer
has an option (in Language Settings - Writing Aids) to use the German old
spelling. Whether selected or not, the minimal number of characters for
hyphenation is five and this seems to affect to hyphenation in all other
languages. This should be fixed.

And I don't think that the minimal number of charachters for old German
hyphenation rules should be five, since also should be hyphenated according
those rules as al-so.
