I don't remember what I sent in. The best thing would be if you read through
the original issue.

I have no video software installed on the school systems, only windows media
player, quicktime, shockwave, flashplayer. All are almost the latest versions,
if not the latest.

Why do I need to install the latest version of quicktime? I have no problem in
playing mpg or mpeg files under windows media player on all 3 networks? I have
no problem in playing mpg and mpeg files in Powerpoint presentations.

A question: I am not sure how I should insert these video files. Remember my
program is Norwegian.
Under the Insert tab there are 2 ways to do it:
1 Video and sound (probably translates as Movie and sound) When I use this I
have always received the message: "The format of the chosen file is not
supported" even though they are normal mgp files.
2 Object - video (this is what I have been using most. It sometimes starts
playing back the mpg in the slide, but crashes after a few seconds - OO just
shuts down)
3 The 3rd way is to drag and drop into the slide. This gives the following
message and options: "ASCII filter choice" "Character set"... "Standard font" ..
Language... "Paragraph return" CR or LF ....

As you can see the 3rd option gives a really strange result, nothing to do with
dragging and dropping a video file.

So I am very confused and don't understand why others with win2000 have not had
similar problems!! Remember I am getting the same results on 3 different LANS
with different computers and software installed.
