------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Mar 17 01:26:52 -0800 2006 ------- IMO we need to clarify the gcc compiler base line. Heiner told me that the current gcc base line is 3.3, so this feature clearly violates the base line. Removing the service decl feature is merely a matter of form, though it hurts, because it's sensible and eases UNO component implementation a lot. More dangerous is IMO the fact that we build with gcc 3.4.1 here in Hamburg (where most code gets integrated), and will *likely* run into similar problems again. Is it feasible to raise the gcc baseline to Hamburg's 3.4.1 to avoid this problem in the future? @ericb/tra: Same for MacOSX 10.3 Panther; is it feasible to force users to compile on next MacOSX 10.4 Tiger which comes with IIRC gcc 4.01? @cloph/hr: So the gcc baseline is below 3.3? Heiner, can you please comment on this? Anybody has a list of supported platforms with gcc versions < 3.4.1? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
