Actually this is not an application error. The data to be exported
contains U+00AD SOFT HYPHEN characters that are not part of the
destination character set and therefore the database driver correctly
refuses to write the data. If those characters are replaced by the
ordinary U+002D HYPHEN-MINUS '-' character export works fine.

Cc'ing Frank Schoenheit as the database expert on this: Frank, to
interpret the sdbc::SQLException.SQLState in this "invalid character"
scenario to provide a better error message, is it sufficient to test it
for the "22018" value, or is there more to it?
