------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jun 6 07:15:01 -0700 2006 ------- Hi, MacOSX 10.3.9, OOo 2.0.3rc5 Install the JMF, test that it works by listing the sounds in the Gallery and double-clicking on them to listen - OK Next download the test files available from here : http://membrane.com/test.html Open a new Writer document for each file. Insert each file into a corresponding empty document via the Insert - Video & Sound menu. While most of the sound files work, can be played and heard, none of the video formats work. Either they are refused as unsupported by the JMF (OK, so we know that the JMF is rather limited, but hey), or if OOo does succeed in inserting the video into the document, only the sound can be heard. No video playback to be seen anywhere. When the links of the site are clicked on directly in Firefox, some of these videos play back separately via the Quicktime plugin or can simply be loaded into Quicktime. None of the quicktime movies play despite the fact that they are specifically supposed to be supported by the Media Player.
