ad 1)
this s a bug and will be handled in this issue.
ad 2)
the attached file is a WOrd template. OO writer treats a template as if you want
to create a new document from it when opening via FileOpen dialog. Thus, the
"new" Author will be inserted there.
ad 3)
formatting the footnote seperator line with absolute metric values (like here
via paragraph indents) is curerently not supported in OO Writer. If this is
really desired, please file an enhancement issue for this.
ad 4) the VBA "dialects" used in OO and MS Office are quite differently, thus
they cannot be translated.
