I can't reproduce on my FedoraCore 5 system. I don't have Vector Linux 5.1.
Updating OOo 2.0.2 with -Uvh and OOo 2.0.3 works fine. No such error message.
Have you tried to remove /rename the .openoffice.org2 directory and restarted
the office?
