I also want to make it clear that the garbage is not something that I can
control external to the document. The issue is that the fonts are not being
displayed correctly...and they are Unicode fonts, too, BTW...
The fact remains that if I use fonts that are not default in OO, then if they
don't map to exactly the ASCII English set, the font data is lost in at least 2
places in OO (the scroll-bar page # pop-up and the PDF export).
This is system-independant. A PDF is supposed to be a 'Portable' document, which
all of it is except in this one place.
I just have no code points that will fix this. And, it happens in Acrobat
Reader, Preview, kpdf, and other apps.
If impossible to fix in OO, then a need exists to turn OFF the 'Drawer' or
'Bookmarks' feature, if they cannot show the correct fonts.
I have further checked and there should be a way to fix this inside of OO
itself. I am reopening the case for now, since I think this is something that
needs to be addressed in one way or another (either turn it off completely,
allow me to turn it off, or fix it).
