On fedora just add fonts that you want OOo to see by adding fonts the normal way
to your system e.g. http://www.fedorafaq.org/#installfonts That way they are
available to all applications, not just OOo. We'd remove that damn
near-worthless spadmin if we could, except that it's the only way to add a fax
printer.
fontconfig is how the fonts are found, that's the magic here
