Well, that is not true. If you check for example the unxlng*.mk files you
will see that ENABLE_SYMBOLS=SMALL is used to create reduced symbol sets for
gcc.
Nevertheless, the following patch decouples --enable-symbols from
--enable-crashrep. If I get a confirmation that this is the right thing to do
I'll commit the patch to vq38.
