As it is now the door is already wide open if only the softlink wasn't created
when it doesn't need to be there.
As to why not remove the whole library from CVS: What will happen on older
Solaris platforms? What will happen when the first distributions have
libfreetype.so.7? => we won't run at all since now the native X11 fonts are
disabled
