------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Nov 26 10:37:32 -0800 2006 ------- Starting with OOo 2.0.4 the Calc HTML numbers import has been changed. I understand the reason but it does not make sense to me to put the manual switch to use the Anglo-American style or the other in the general preferences. You always should have the option at least on import or per link you add. The Preferences are only useful to change the default behaviour to be different from your locale (usually not very usefull) and will always be wrong in a number of remaining cases, especially when you live outside the English speaking world. In my case it breaks my spreadsheet with fund quotes since banks do not seem to agree on one way of providing quotes. Morningstar uses American style, also for local sites, while local banks, especially in local languages often use the other format. Morningstar does not list all quotes there are, so it always fails for me while it used to work until 2.0.4. Also, the preferences are not the first place I look, the calc preferences are not even there when OOo starts up with Writer. So it did take me a while to figure out that this was not a bug but a feature ;-) I will always have a few broken links this way or I will have to continue to script quote downloads, for everything that is in the other than default format or behind https. Examples: http://triodos.nl/nl/personal_banking/investments/returns/?lang= This a localized site and some quotes are not on the .nl morningstar: http://www.morningstar.nl/quickrank/default.aspx?lang=NL --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
