fs->pl: sorry, I cannot judge this GTK-code at all, so for the very patch
attached to this issue, it's yours to review and approve.
I like the general idea of making the boxes smaller. For the generic picker (I
assume you assigned the issue to me for a consistency implementation there) the
manual layout would need to be changed, and I don't have any ambitions to do
this before we actually have some kind of rudimentary layout manager for VCL ...
