The font "Georgia" is installed on my system.

Some more details:
After I click the "Open" button, the Open dialog disappears. A new window opens
with a gray background. It has the OpenOffice icon in the left corner of the
title bar but the title is blank. At the bottom of this window, the status bar
appears, "Loading document", and the progress bar progresses from left to right
very quickly. Then the status bar disappears.

After a very long pause (several minutes), a dialog opens asking me to choose an
import filter for file "a1.wps" (filename doesn't matter except that it's the
first file in My Documents). I select one and click OK. Then the same dialog
opens asking me to choose an import filter for file "a2.doc". Maybe this will
continue for every single file in My Documents.

Ok, I know now the workaround: I removed My Documents from the Paths for
Templates (in Tools / Options). Having done this, I can open "My
Documents\mydoc.ott" without any delay.

I still consider this a bug. I would like to store my templates in a directory
that contains other non-template files. But I would also like my templates to
show up in the New / Templates and Documents dialog. It seems to me that
OpenOffice should not try to look at these non-template files in My Documents
when showing me the New dialog or opening a specific template. But I could be
wrong...
