I just encountered this problem myself. Repro steps (OO 2.1 on WinXP, IE6 as
browser):
r-click following link
http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/42809/Project%
20Planning%20-%20Inception.ods
and choose "Open in new window" - after long pause i get "General input/output
error".
