It's due to the fact that a table starts beeing graphically visible after being
defined with <table>.
If you select a few rows only inside of the table, the clipboard misses the
<table></table> tags copies just text.
So you need to copy a little bit before and after the table to get the table.
It happens the same in MS Word.
Calc has a table structure and adjust the spaces between the HTML cells to its
own cells but doesn't actually recognize the clipboard content ass an HTML
table.
