This problem was observed in Neo Office and traced to Open Office. It is
recorded as number 2445 (Posterize vs margins) in the Neo Office problem
database. A test document (Poster Print Test.odg) was attached there.

"Posterize" provides a mechanism for printing a large virtual page onto several
smaller real pages (or print to a file, as PDF). The mechanism should print all
the original material and (perhaps) allow a little overlap to help the user glue
the pages together.

The sample document is formatted for page size 22 x 17 inches. Print using
File > Print > PDF > Save as PDF..., selecting "Print on multiple pages"

Neo Office (2.1 path 7) provides excessive vertical overlap and negative
horizontal overlap (loss of data.)

+ Repeating the same steps with OpenOffice.org 2.1 (using "Print to
+ file" and Preview to convert the PostScrpit file to PDF) produces
+ similar but even more pronounced results, and adds two unnecessary blank
+ pages, so I am closing this bug as an OpenOffice.org bug.
