Ok, tried something slightly different (Note that everything - except for the
installation - is executed as user, not root. I patched a m124 with the CWS
jl67).
Scenario 1)
- Start the office, open Extension Manager (as user)
- Open a ssh terminal (w/o -X) to the same machine as the same user
- execute /opt/staroffice8/program/unopkg list --shared (as user)
-> There is a warning that X is required.
Scenario 2)
- execute /opt/staroffice8/program/unopkg add --shared <any-extension> (as user)
-> Same warning
Scenario 3)
- execute /opt/staroffice8/program/unopkg add --shared <any-extension> (as root)
-> Exception thrown
Without the open Extension Manager all shared extensions are listed in the ssh
window.
Scenario 4)
- Start the office, open Extension Manager
- Close Extension Manager, leave the office running (backing mode) (as user)
- execute /opt/staroffice8/program/unopkg list --shared
-> There is a warning that X is required. Additionally unopkg does not terminate
(CTRL+C will do)
Conclusion:
- unopkg did not react correctly in any scenario, please junk the fix and start
with a better design.
