I prepared a document in 10-point type. After I was all done, I realized this
type
was too small, so I changed it globally into 12-point (times new roman). This
change increased the page count, of course.

But, the table of contents (TOC) did not change automatically to the new page
count. By itself this issue has already been mentioned (and, from what I can
tell, ignored: I run the stock version of OpenOffice that comes with the newest
release of Debian). So far so good. Seeing this, I update the TOC. This works
fine, except
that the type in the table of content reverts to 10-point.

I realize that the data that go into the TOC are in some different location than
the document's text, and apparently, a global change to the text does not also
change those separate fields. But, it would be really handy, and to my mind also
logically expected, to have the TOC fields change together with a global change
of the document text. Or, if this is not possible or undesirable for some other
reason that I don't see just yet, it would be nice to get a warning, or a
question, something like: do you want to change your (indexes, TOC, TOFigures,
&tc) also?

HTH,

Nino

ps: I love OpenOffice. Thank you guys (and girls)
