"Writer OLE objects use Web Layout" Aha, that's the reason; indeed if I switch
to Page Layout, all works as I expect. But Writer OLE use Web Layout only, if
you embed the OLE directly, but they use Page Layout if you embed it from file.
That is confusing. Is the difference in the behavior intended?

"OLE object always is supposed to be as big as the text and not
show any background" I see it slightly different. The page margin is
transparent, but it is there. In addition the embedded document can be smaller
than the "peephole". The remaining place is filled with the object background.

"The "insert from file" function seems to be somewhat broken; it doesn't handle
the size correctly." I think, it is correct as it is.

"Page height is completely irrelevant, OLE objects don't have pages." My OLE
object has pages and e.g. page numbers work as they should and you set the view
in a way, that you see the bottom part of one page and the top part of the
following page.

"What we should do is resizing the OLE object in case the page width is changed,
giving the same result as if the object had been resized with the mouse when
active." I'm not sure; it should work like Web Layout for normal documents and
there the page width is ignored too, the width is determined by the window width
and changing the window width will not change the page width, so that you get
your old page width, if you switch back to Page Layout.

As I now know the reason and can set it as I like, the issue can be closed.
Workforme, invalid, wontfix?
