I therefore want to protect my documents in a read-only format so they can only read them. However, I wish to protect them with a password so no one can change the documents. Summary: I cannot protect OO docs in read-only format with a password. I do not want to change my documents (eg. OO Impress) to PDF for it will defeat the reason for putting it in that format.
